you said you are going to be cutting thick grass, right? well i think i would just stay with the 6ft. cutter so it would be less strain on the tractor. the less strain on your machinery means the longer it will run without problems. if you keep the grass at a very low level, however, then the 7ft. MIGHT be adequate for the job. i would check with the local dealer an get their opinon before i purchased a cutter. they usally advise what tractors can and cannot COMFORTABLY use.
