Proper bullet placement is what counts, also the proper bullet for the job at hand....The 41 Mag.with the right bullets gettin' in the right place will kill whitetails, IMS, I've killed 7 to 10 in the last 40 years with the 41 mag. all one shot kills....For Deer out to 100yards I like the 40 Super in a 1911, 180gr bullet @ 1800 fps
