I was inspired by the post about scamming scammers so here is a little bit of my own. I"m trying to sell a tedder on Craigslist and one person is a little too interested. When they asked about owner financing and leaving a down payment here was my reply:
I forgot to ask, did you want the sand piper attachment that goes with it? I also have some spare bearing stretchers that you may find helpful during routine maintenance. They can be operated with a metric adjustable wrench if you have one of those. These would be an extra cost but I might throw them in if you were very interested. These items are in excellent shape and were recently dipped in a bucket of steam to remove any grease.
To which they said: If it would make my life easier, yes I would be interested in seeing them.. I am not familiar with the sandpiper attachment. Can you explain or describe that?
