It is always management's fault. Even if the UAW is what is draiging them down it is still management's fault because they agreed to the contract. Managements job is to weigh sales (income) against cost (labor/material) and find a mediam they can work with.
Now I do not know what kind of contract the UAW has with GM verses Ford or Toyota and really do not care. I do think they are over paid but if they can get it more power to them.
I do know it is not my job to support or bailout ANY company because of bad management decisions; including labor cost; material cost; or just building a piece of junk that always breaks down and no one wants.
The one big question I have is......... Where is all the profits from the good times when they were selling all those over sized SUV's. And that just points out another one of managments jobs... Saving in the good times so you can make it threw the bad times.
