Here is another way you can tell if it is stolen. When you go to look at it and you hem and haw over the machine and ask about 4wd, tires, hydraulic system, backhoe (and the guy cant answer any questions) and you say.....Well.......I dunno.....It is a nice machine but......I gotta talk to the wifey.
If the guy doesnt have a receipt and he says, "what could you give me for it" and he says how about $10,000 then you can bet its stolen and then DONT BUY IT!!! Call the cops and they can talk to the guy. Stolen equipment burns my *ss.
