I"m not sure this has anything to do with the thread, but I consider the mentality of the "son" to be similar to that of others who tell me I"m wasting my time & money gardening. No, it"s not as productive as it could be, but there is a learning curve. Someday food may not be so cheap as to just run down to the local supermarket either. They way I see it I"m paying to educate myself now, and eat what I learn.
