Interest only home loans, loaning money to unqualified borrowers, people living off credit cards (I.E. spending their way out of their own personal recession),auto makers unwilling to build anything but SUVs, and people buying 35-50K SUVs to drive to the store, oil speculators, and everyone else who is/was living above their means. I think greed caused this problem
