I think you are getting good advice. As for the diesel thang.....I wouldn't want one. But I live in upstate new york wher sub zero temperatures are common, and I need to plow my driveway....now a new diesel with good injectors and high compression, etc., but for 2000, you probably won't find a diesel in good condition.

how many acres are you planning to maintain, is this a "farmette" application, or what....this will help determine what to buy.
