first thing you should prolly do is find an attorney and or good tax accountant. if inherited, you could be subject to inheritance tax. then if the property appraisal is lower than the sale price, capital gain tax unless you 1031 exchange to another income property. hopefully john t, couuntry gentleman and attorney at will chime in with a few words of wisdom. get your ducks in a row before you do anything!!!
