Considering that the whole lot are mostly made in China today, flip a coin... If you're talking gear pumps, service is not something you really do anyhow. You use it. You toss it when it's used up. Your best money is spent at the front end with a big suction line and filter/screen. Beyond that I don't think it matters much what name is on the pump. I've had Plessy/Sauer/Sundstrand/Danfoss pumps in the tractors, Parker, Cessna, Prince, Vickers, Commercial Shearing and probably a few more around... Cavitation will eat any one of them. Quick. Other than that, they've all lasted quite well.
