The first question is , did you draw the tractor back together the last 1/2 or 3/4 inch with bolts ? Do you have the release bearing on backwards (you do not have a throw out bearing as thery are used on hand clutches), release bearing looks like it is backwards when it is proper. Do you have the disc hubs turned the right way?
My guess is that you crushed the cover assembly when you drew the halves of the tractor together with bolts,you did not have the hydraulic pump drive splines lined up and it would not slide together freely. You can press the cover assembly back out to where it should be in a press.
