My "96 Chevy zaps the @#$% out of me all the time. Especially if I happen to contact the screw that is in the bottom of the little pocket you use to close the door. Doesn"t matter what I wear. Sometimes get a zap when I put the key in the ignition.
I try to touch the back of my calf to the frame when I get out. Getting zapped there isn"t nearly as uncomfortable as on a finger tip.
Makes me crazy. My mechanic has a 96 and his does the same thing.
