I was working in Borger, Tx during the blizzard of 1957. Me and some more guys had gone to lake Texoma in SE Ok. This was Easter weekend and we had a 3-day weekend which turned out to be much longer. We were told not to travel west because all hotels were full and the roads blocked. When we were finally able to travel we went through drifts that were as tall as a building--they were cleared for one way traffic. When we finally got home our houses were drifted roof level on south side. Many cows were drowned at this time.
