I have been trying some of the different Linux OS on my older computers. I can demo them without installing to the hard drive by using a live boot CD. I was given an old 300 mHz Gateway laptop with 256 meg of ram. Puppy Linux works well and it even provides a driver for the wireless network card. My 700 mHz desk top with 512 meg of ram will run Ubuntu Linux. A coworker has got me interested in Linux. I like Linux for simple tasks such as web browsing and email. I"m just a novice with Linux but they are making the install packages pretty simple.
