Hey J.B. I'm an old Texas boy myself, orignally from west Texas, but now I stay sometimes in West, Texas. Anyway about 20 years ago an ice storm hit the Dallas area. The road commission head guy thought he'd call his counterpart in Michigan to see what to do about the icy roads. The Michigan guy said "We use sand, and spread it on the roads" Well, the Texan figures "he%% we got alot of sand here.. shouldn't be no problem" Honest, I saw two guys standing in the back of a pickup going down the expressway throwing sand out with shovels. In other areas the guy musta figured if a little sand is good, alot should be better. They were cleaning sand out of their drainage system for months.
