Theres some money to be made also, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Farm smart, stay up on technology and marketing strategies and you can put a little side cash in your pocket while paying off your hobby. I'd really try to stay up/learn grain marketing, rent some bins if you can and use yours, theres no sense selling wet corn out of the field for 3.50 when you can get 4.40 by being smart about it.
