For what you've described I'd think that a 30 to 40 horsepower tractor would be about right. Personally I'd recommend a good used John Deere (I'm prejudiced)like perhaps a 1020. Second choice would be a Ford 2000 or 3000. I don't see any way you could go wrong with any of these tractors.
