I have a small cow/calf operation on 150 acres of hills and woods. I have a little over 20 acres of hay that I put up in square bales.
My bunch of equipment is not nearly as extensive, nearly as big, nearly as complicated, or nearly as expensive as most mid-west farmers. The front end of my Ford 2000 tractor is spread all over one bay of my machine shed right now getting a rebuild of the front axle pin/housing. etc. etc.
Sometimes I wonder why in the world I mess with this old stuff. I lose money almost every year on my farm operation. But then, one day happens when things go right, and I decide I'll just keep going until I can't go any more.
