I've owned one of these little EM-400 Honda generators for about 25 years. It allows user choice of 12DC or 115AC at 63 cps (slightly faster than 60 cps). It came with one installed fuse and one replacement fuse. If you opened the fuse by developing too much load, you must replace the fuse before it can produce electric output again.
I've only run synthetic oil in it since it was new. I'm sure I've run it over 1000 hours and it still performs like new.
