I've had an 1855A for 14 years and have enjoyed using it very much. One of the few negative issues I have with it is the inability to get mower deck parts for it. Certainly, this points to the manufacturer (Snapper, MF, AGCO ?). I would appreciate any info anybody might have about getting parts. Also, the Eaton Hydrostatic pump came with transmision fluid in it. I called Eaton and they recommended, depending on climate, straight 10, 20, or 30w oil (N.Mid-West I use 20w). The timing belts for the mower deck are equal to automotive timing belts. So the person responding to use NAPA replacements was right on. My mower deck is starting to look like a high school welding project. Does anybody have any insight on modifying any other mower decks out there to work on the 1655/1855? I'd be thankful for any info.
