Last Sunday I had on a red sweat jacket. I was cutting mats out of the hair of our long-haired barn cat and a hummingbird flew up to me to check out that red jacket. He wasn't anymore than a foot from me. How neat is that?
A couple of weeks ago, we were working over by the pond. I was walking around and found a hummer's nest. A little later I found a large egg, almost the size of a small chicken egg. I think was a hawk egg because of the size.
