Around here in the mid MI area we plant about 120-160 ponds to the acre or about 2-3 bushels to the acre hoping to get some where in the 40-60 bushels per acre yield. This is with 200 pounds of starter fertilizer and 40-80pounds of nitrogen. It seems as though if notilling it takes more seed closer to the 3 bushel and if it is worked ground then closer to the 2 bushel rate. Of course this all depends on your soil as mentioned before.
