My dad pulled a 7000 12 row set up with the Deere bubble coulters for no till with a 4020 for 2 years. Here in Michigan were I am it's pretty flat, and you didn't set any land speed records but it did it. After that it was on a 4430 for many many years. A 4440 is a better tractor than the 4430. Basically the same tractor without the pitfalls of the older 4030 series tractors. Guaranteed good trans, better quad range clutch pack, bigger engine (466 vs 404).
What limits 4840's up here is you are limited to 8 speed power shift only and the larger PTO.
