I use outdoor grill cleaner to clean my small engines. I seems to be somewhat stronger that oven cleaner. I comes in larger spray cans, and at the end of the summer season, you can often find some great reduced prices. I found cases of it in a salvation army store that was donated by a local retail store. Also I follow up the grill cleaner with a coat of foaming bathroom cleaner.
