It's just amazing sometimes.
Called a fellow last Thursday about a full-time farm job. He liked what I had to say, so he invited me out there for an interview on Friday. Offered me the job on the spot. I took it without hesitation and I start tomorrow. It looks like a great place to work. 4500 acres now, but they have great plans for growth. They want to make me more of a partner than an employee. This spring I'll be planting with a an IH MX255 and a JD 24-row center-fill planter. A man and his son operate it, and they're great guys with the son being right around my age.
Only rub is, the farm is an hour and a half drive from where I live. So...Miss MN and I found a house we both love, and I'm going to buy it. It's a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath on 13 acres with a barn, silo, garage, and chicken coop.
Can't wait to go back to work...and get paid to drive tractors!
