OK, I really need some help here. I've started doing some research into small farm tractors. I've turned from my hobby of tinkering with cars(streetrods and antiques) towards antique tractors. The problem is that I can't figure out which models would best suit my needs. I have a small chunk of land that I intend to retire to soon. Most likely I'll use the tractor for finish mowing (belly) and post hole digging. I wouldn't rule out putting a small loader or backhoe on her though. I have learned by reading the Antique Tractor Bible a few things that I should be looking for. The problem is that it doesn't really tell me what models have the equipment needed. A 1 3/8" rear mounted live PTO & remote hydraulics, also a standardized 3 pt. hitch, ease of obtaining parts, etc. I have found, so far in my limited research, that a Ford 8N or NAA are close to what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any ideas for a cross purpose (antique/worker) tractor?
