I go for the homemade skids but also use short lengths of pipe under the skids,that way it rolls instead of having to drag it. Depending on the length of the skids as to how many pieces of pipe you will need. I like the short pieces better than the long one as it is easier to keep them straight under the load and not have to worry about something in the center hanging them up.Besides being easier to handle and not to long to hang on the sides. The treated round fence post also make good rollers if you don't have the pipe.
