Just had the first clutch of the season leave the nest and another will be ready any day.I've had a "bluebird trail" for several years. Really enjoy watching them. Some years there are still a few around in February--just depends on the fruit crop. I've hunted and fished my wholelife and ran a trapline for several years and I may again,but the older I get the more I enjoy the other birds. We have a phoebee nesting on the supports under our deck and orioles come eat oranges my wife puts out. Humming birds drive the cat nuts and the rose-breasted grossbeaks are common at the feeder. Occasionally, I'll see a scarlet tanager and saw an indigo bunting along the woods last week. Everything I do on our property is geared toward wildlife.
