I just got an email this evening and it says to use Listerine in a spray bottle and spray your surroundings to kill mosquitos when you're sitting outside.
There must be enough alcohol in it to kill them within just a few seconds by what it said. I'm going to try it. They don't bother me too much but they really go after my wife for some reason.
I also learned years ago to wipe down your picnic table or food table with liquid dish washing detergent when eating outside. I wipe it on the ketchup bottles and other items used at meal time that aren't put in my mouth. This keeps the flies away. They won't land on the table or any where you smeared the detergent. I use Dawn detergent.
