Glenster could help out on this, but the good two or three part clear coats will wrinkle up some of the cheaper enamels that haven't been hardened. I tend to go a little nuts about perfection so I do use clear on some tractors. I even put some leftover clear on a propane tank that I had painted with enamel. My neighbors kid me that I have to wax it twice a year now LOL. Jim
