Went to the Ozark Fall Farm Fest in Springfield, MO on 10/6/00. It's a very good show and will continue through 10/8/00. While there I had the chance to look at many different brands of tractors up close. After looking at them all I found none I like better than John Deere. I had Ford tractors for many years, but now there are no dealers closer than 50 miles. JD, Case-IH, and MF all have dealerships within 10 miles. Also, Ford (New Holland) tractors just don't appear to made as solid as the older ones. I purchased a new JD 5105 this spring, and after examining many others I feel I made the correct choice. This spring I also purchased a new Bush Hog 3008 pull type brush hog and a Bush Hog 2102 post hole digger. After looking at different brands of this type of equipment I could find none I liked any better. After a lot of "window shopping" I'm happy and confident in my equipment.
