I think most posters on this board agree that the modern formulation of WD-40 isn't much good as a penetrating oil. Current 'Hot' products appear to be 'PB-Blaster' and 'Kroil'. They may give you some better results if you have the time to let them work.... but you've still got the stripped end problem. Is this a bolt or a 'recessed' pipe plug ? You may be stuck with a very messy job of drilling through and using an ez-out followed by a thorough flushing of the crankcase bottom. I don't know how accessable this bolt/plug is but... Other standard procedures... (you probably know these, but here goes anyway if you don't) Using an angle grinder/file etc to re-dress the head to shape. (if it's a bolt) Welding a fresh bolt or stud to the end of the stripped one. (Bolt or recessed plug) Perhaps someone else will weigh in with a better idea. bb
