Also consider your line size. trying to force more volume through a hose, or tube than it was designed for creates a heat buildup which can cause oil/fluid to breakdown. Also consider return filter size, forcing more fluid through a filter than it was designed to flow, can blow a spin-on element/can, off, or blow it's guts out. Everything in a well designed hydraulic system, pump, valves, lines, filtration, is related, and designed to work togather, changing one component without consideration of the other items can result in problems
