I'm with danny and mark. Don't work hard with a gringer and brush...use oven cleaner and a pressure washer. Scrape off the thich stuff with a putty knife first however. Oven cleaner takes everything off so don't spray it where good paint is. Do it outside with a face mask, rubber gloves and something to keep the spattering off your skin and out of your eyes when you use a pressure washer...the damn stuff is dangerous to your lungs and skin.
