My older friend has a 91 Explorer that is giving him problems. It cuts out, kind of coughs and sputters some times. Maybe when you step down on it. Sometimes does it at idle at stop light, once in a while he has to restart. Its getting worse and He is now afraid to drive it and can't afford to take it to high priced place. Think it is V6 4L engine. Any ideas to help?
