We have started picking green beans a little here and there. Should have enough to start canning next week. Grandmother has gotten started with corn. She has cut off and froze about 10 dozen ears this week. The big patch is still a long way off (my family eats ALOT of corn) but the differnt plantings in the garden got kinda close together (first and second planting came in about 5 days a part) and she hates to see any thing go to waste so she started freezing out of the garden. More squash and cucumbers than we know what to do with. Have had 3 matters so far with more turning. Picked the first of the peppers this morning. Should have crowder peas ready in a week to 10 days.
