Wal Mart is a bunch of crooks. Now some of you all that are so proud of Wal Mart for their minimum wage and health insurance need to think about some things.Minimmum wage is not going to raise a family.Health insurance would help a little, but a family trying to live on minimum wage is not going to work.Mom and pop dont hire lots of people.Well they hire mom and pop.Figure out how many mom and pops went out of business when Wal Mart came in,compare that to how many people work at the Wal Mart.I bet its less than half the people working at Wal Mart.Plus,Wal Mart is not cheap any more.
So now you all say that you have your wife working at Wal Mart for insurance and you work at whatever and life is good?Thats really stupid considering in all the years before the 1980s most women stayed home and raised kids, the man worked and usually could buy insurance for his family until things went stupid.
When the price of energy doubles and more, like it did when Bush was President and still is now, your pay got cut in half.So that 7 dollar an hour minimum wage is now worth 3.50 per hour.If you want the government to help you with something make them do something to lower energy cost,or make them help raise pay for workers. They arent going to do that. The only thing that worked for working people was unions. When unions were strong, politicians got things done for working people.Unions got weak, now everything is going down the drain.
Some of you all will be happy with your Wal Mart selling you junk for triple the price its even worth, causing people to have to drive farther to get goods that arent as good, that end up in the landfill, and that send our money to China,to pay slave wages over there.I guess slave wages are better than no wages, but there are other reasons to stop this nonsense.Far as I can tell the Waltons are some of the richest people on Earth.Making them richer, while people work for slave pay,and cut the quality of life in our own country, making them richer, accomplishes what?
There needs to be a living wage.People that get nasty rich off our country need to have this stuff made in the USA,for living wages.Any of you that think things are fine should go work in a Chinese factory until you wake up.
Conservatives have to be some of the dumbest people to ever walk around. All that you all have accomplished is to drag us further down towards a third world way of life.A huge step backwards in time, and I guess you all are so dumb you just cant help yourself. When will you conservatives get mad and say enough is enough?Already you work all week and cant feed your family with the lousy pay,but thats cool because nobody ever said you had to have a living wage.Yet it does right in the Bible you all claim to know so well.Disgusting.Wake up,and if you you are going to do is snivel about how things are better your way, youd be better off to not say anything until you figure out your way is stupid first.

Today's Featured Article - Madison's County - by Anthony West. Philip Madison has been a good friend of mine for quite some time. He has patiently suffered my incessant chit chat on the subject of tractors for longer than I care to remember, and on many occasions he has put himself out, dropped what ever it was he was doing, to come and lend a hand cranking handles, or loading a find onto a trailer. Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects. ... [Read Article]
