Froze-Up engine

Hey guys, ....I have a 1953 Farmall Super H tractor with a #164 four-cylinder engine. It's been sitting about 8 years but was running fine when it was parked. I beleive the engine is frozen in position because when I tried turn the crankshaft from the front end with the hand-crank tool, it wouldn't budge, and in fact broke the roll pin out out the tool. What is the normal procedure for unsticking a stuck engine? I s[prayed some WD-40 in the cylinder spark plug holes and am going to let it set there over night. If possible, I don't want to have to dimantle the engine to correct yhe problem. What exactly in the engine sticks? Is it the pistons to the cylinder walls. Is it the crankshaft? Help!!!!!!
