I can appreciate what you are going through. I had to sell down (land) to right my financial ship. Since some of it was land that had been in the family, it really hurt. However, it made more sense than letting things deteriorate to the point of possibly losing everything. What I did sell I did so to people that the possibility of re-acquiring within a few years would most likely happen. Had the lawyer handle the legal aspect of this. At least at this point what I have is not vulnerable to be taken. I am thankful I have friends I can turn to as I do not think I could have bore this alone. I don't have the chest pains I used to have before. I still have to avoid thinking about the people that would love to buy me out for ten cents on the dollar, though. I would agree with those that encourage some kind of religious faith as I find it comforting. I think most people experience serious setbacks in life. Some people are better at keeping secrets than others. Making the change will eventually allow you to work toward something rewarding. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
