Most front plows that use the 3pt arms to lift, use cables that run though a set of pulleys to lift the plow. As I mentioned before, this isn't a great system but it works. Since yours tractor has remote capability, mounting a cylinder on the front is a much better option.
You described using pipes running over the rear axle. If you did choose this method, you would only want to use them for lifting. The plow should still be anchored in the front of the tractor. Otherwise the plow will be very unstable.
Once other thing to keep in mind is that the front wheels will be harder to turn and the rear wheels will have less traction with a front plow.
