Yes, that's my normal route to and from work every day.
Supposedly the crash was started by a 27-year-old who had only had his license since May. He was allegedly speeding, crashed into a tractor-trailer fuel tanker. The tanker lost his trailer and also took out a second tractor-trailer. Miraculously, nobody was killed. News reports showed cars continuing to drive across the overpass with smoke billowing up from the fire below!
I would hate to be the guy that caused the wreck right now. Somehow I don't think his liability insurance will cover a brand-new bridge. Michigan no-fault insurance means he won't have to pay for the two totalled semis, though.
Anyone who has driven that stretch of I-75 knows about the infamous nine-mile curve. Very easy place to lose control if you're driving typical Michigan speeds (85 mph, except in school zones, when drivers slow down to 55). Not a good place to be speeding when your sharing the road with other vehicles, let alone a fuel tanker.
