"Other than the 3pt. the 8n wasn't much in it's day" well my dad had one and used it every day on a 260 acre dairy farm from 1948 to 1971 and it never failed to do what was asked of it includeing towing some of the other stuff around there to get them started.Mowing hay,raking hay,pulling wagons when needed,belt powering the 10" IHC Hammermill,running the post hole auger,It had a Loader so that was used for numerous jobs and on and on.Granted there were and are many who dislike the little machines but it's former users are many and they cannot be convinced that it was not much use.My Dad who has passed on and myself who spent many hours on the seat of our 8N are among this group.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
