We'd had the motor out of one of the Wheel Hosses in my neighbor's stable for a rebuild over the winter. Decided to paint her while she was motorless. Got all carried away, even put new decals on her. Got that honkin' 5-foot deck all in good shape, new belts all around. She was lookin' good, runnin' strong.
First opportunity he takes her out to cut grass. I heard it runnin' as soon as he kicked the blades in so poked my nose over to see how it was runnin'.
