I think that knot is in the manual for a NH 66 baler. First few years Dad used just a square knot and once when was having trouble a service man showed him how to do it that way, this was in about 1955 and done that way after that untill quit baling in 1980. I was too young at the time to help with the baling, did not get to start driving the tractor till about 2 years later, about to turn 66
