don, if you are gettng the crankcase vent submerged, at least on my m, it exits at the base of the engine block by the oil filter. you got to be pretty deep in the water. the rear main is probably where the water is getting in. the seal is designed to keep oil in. kind of a spiral screw cut in the crankshaft the pulls the oil back in the gallery. if you are that deep, you got half the clutch under water too. i dont think its doing the tractor any good under that much water. check your differential oil, prolly lot of water in there too.
