Can anyone tell me if the Inova gauge sets are weather proof.? I purchased a 3 gauge kit from wal-mart and before I bought it I read the instructions to see if I can mount on the external instrument panel of my tractor. The only thing it mentioned is that it can be installed in dash or on dash using mount provided, I assume they meant in cab. Uncertain of it's ability to resist weathering I siliconed around the flanges before mounting and smeared and wiped the face with silicon to get as much under the bezel/glass contact point. There have been a couple of rains so far and no water has entered under the glass. My panel (MH30) has a 60 degree slant to shed water and the rear of the panel is sealed. The rear of these gauges come with light sockets and don't look too weather proof has you can see the internal components from the sockets. Should I seal off the light sockets?. Kind of a bummer if I can't use them. They work just fine.
