A few years ago I shopped for a bench type drill press with a 1/2 chuck for my home shop. I must have been in every store that had a drill press for sale in Fort Wayne Indiana several times over a two month period before I bought a (China junk) drill press. Best little drill press I found. The top dollar drill press looked just like the one I bought but whith the quill all the way down you could move the chuck sideways way to much for my dollar. The one I bought did not have the movment. I had some small aluminum parts I wanted to slot with a 1/8" mill cutter. I bought a (China junk) slide vise and it/they did a fine job. It aint all price or the manufacture. It is the tolarances held on the one you buy. The store I bought the drill press from told me I would have to take one in a box and I told them no it was the one I picked out or a no sale.
