I fall into the "pot of coffee in the morning, a few beers at night" category myself- occassionally a bourbon. If there's a pitcher of ice tea in the frig, though, I'll grab a glass of that- I consider a beer the lesser of two evils when compared to a soda. Steven King, when asked how many beers he drank a night, answered "all of them". If he went to bed with an unopened beer in the refrigerator, he couldn't sleep- had to get up and finish them or pour them down the drain. As long as I can go to bed at night with at least one beer in the frig, I'm thinking I don't have a problem.
