I put up around 3500 square bales and 100 rolls each year. I use older equipment and I have 2 identical peices of everything including tractors. 2 430 Cases, 2 530 Cases, 2 1200 David Browns, 2 254 New Holland tetter rakes, 2 311 New Holland balers, 2 472 New Holland Haybines. If something breaks I am running again just as soon as I can hook up the other machine. They don't stock parts for older machines anymore. If you break something and only have one machine, you will be down 5 to 7 days while your orderd parts come in. The only thing I don't have 2 of is my vemeer 504 round baler and it is new enough that it never gives any problems. You can have 2 good old units of each machine cheaper than you can buy the new ones. And they are a lot more fun to use.
