when the engine dies have you immediately checked for spark and or power at the coil.you could have a bad ignition switch or ballast resistor or broken wire.I once worked on a jd that would die after 20 minutes.come to find out that the owner had taken the advance weights out of the dist.because they had came loose and cut the dist almost in half.he then j.b. welded up the groove in the dist. and when the dist. got hot the metal would separate and lose ground.
